With more than 40 years of experience in the commercial interiors industry, Doug Smaus has built a distinguished career spanning distribution, design, manufacturing, and process improvement. His expertise and leadership have made him a trusted professional in environments ranging from large‑scale commercial projects to specialized renovation and design work.
Doug’s current pursuits reflect his diverse skill set and entrepreneurial spirit. He is actively engaged in residential and commercial renovations, yacht interior design, commercial relocation strategies, and innovative nano‑bubble technology solutions that support efficiency and sustainability. His ability to blend creativity, technical knowledge, and operational insight has earned him a reputation for excellence across multiple industries.
Deeply committed to community service, Doug serves on four philanthropic boards and is honored to sit on the Board of Governors at the Centre Club, where he also contributes to several committees. His leadership, generosity, and passion for service make him a valued contributor to every organization he supports.
Family is at the heart of Doug’s life. He and his wife, Lisa, a licensed Interior Designer and General Contractor, have been married for more than 39 years. Together, they have raised three children—now successful young professionals—all married, and they are proud grandparents of two.
Doug’s hobbies reflect his love for connection, adventure, and the outdoors. He enjoys golf, tennis, family vacations, and global adventure travel, always seeking new experiences and opportunities to learn.
